It has been 3 years since we did any major change on our website template and content. But it has been 6 years since we made any changes to our services and fees. We feel the need for a big change. It's our way of celebrating a new beginning with the office move and business direction.
After spending over a month renovating the site, tweaking several code bugs, and redesigning some graphics, we are proud to launch our new website (version 5.6)! The site is not completely done except for the main storefront. We are still working on other sections which will not be ready for another few more weeks or months.
One of the most noticeable change is our logo. Some of you will remember the teddy bear logo in our previous website. Yes, we finally let go of the cute teddy bear. We received all sorts of feedback about the bear logo. 
You either love it or you hate it. Since we are in the mood for a change, we finally let it go and replace it with a baby Buddha, which gives a Zen like feeling. To read up the story behind the Buddha image, click here.
Aside from the logo change, we also replaced the background with the new passion red to enhance the "zennie" and "warm" feeling. It did not occur to me until my friends mentioned how the passion red so reflects my personality. 
The idea of using red is inspired by the red borders that I see on traditional Tibetan Thangkas framing the Buddha images.
The blue and black colors have always been my favorites for my web template creations. The current template you see is based on the original version 5 template. In case anyone here really wants get into my psychology of why I pick those three colors, well... I supposed subconsciously I picked them as my theme because they are the basic background colors used in Tibetan Thangkas. Of course, I never thought of that at the time of creating version 5 template. In hindsight, I think that was what had happened. It is strange, aye? How people do certain things not knowing why they are doing so. They think they are following their gut instincts when in fact, they are following their soul's calling or soul imprint. My soul has imprints of Buddhism all over. It is part of my life and it flows naturally out on my readings and even on my website designs. 
As you can see on our homepage, we now introduce several new services. We clearly layout all of our major services. Some of them got name changed, features improved, or re-introduced as new services. All reading services are collectively placed under the " Readings" section, which is visibly placed on the top menu bar. Also, the navigating links to the different reading service pages are posted on almost every web page at the left-hand column. Tags that indicate which are psychic readings and numerology are added. We also point out which are our best sellers. This way anyone can find the services and web pages they want and click without needing to go through the entire website. Once you are on the selected psychic service page, everything you need to know about its cost, service details, order information, common questions and answers, and more are there. We find that most people come to our site looking for information quickly to make split second decision as to order or not and get out asap. The way we present our information will allow busy bodies to find what they are looking for and make purchase online right away.
We tend to get comments from first-time visitors expressing confusion as to what Essie really does and offers as a psychic. To help reduce the number of inquiries, we took the time to clarify our services by clearly delineating our consulting services as: Intuitive Soul Spirit Guide (or psychic readings) and Numerology. Their features are described further in Intuitive Soul Spirit Guide Consult, Numerology, and Email Reading Guide web pages. The idea is to encourage you to read up on us and get familiarize with our practice before deciding whether or not to employ our services. We are confident that after you thoroughly review our site, you will know that you are dealing with a legitimate psychic who is genuinely passionate about her work and not someone trying to push sales on you.
There are more obvious changes to our website but rather than us talking about them, we are sure those of you who have seen the previous version will identify them. As mentioned earlier, it took us over a month to renovate the entire site. Prior to the reconstruction, we spent over 4 months brainstorming and planning on its blueprint. It has been a herculean task for us to edit the entire site. We believe that the change is worthed considering we shift our business direction toward the Internet since August 1st.
