Who Am I
One day, a 38 year old man phoned to pre-book an appointment for a Mini Soul Reading with me. For sake of confidentiality, this man will be address with a fictitious name as Mr. C. In the conversation, Mr. C. warned me that his oracle questions were out of the ordinary. I suggested him to email me his questions so that I may review them and decide whether to take on his case or not. Mr. C. did as advised and emailed me on the same day with 3 questions. I forget what they were exactly since he later withdrew 2 of them. His primary question was essentially asking me to tell him WHO he was. He knew very well who his biological parents were. He was not psychologically confused with his physical identity. He was not looking to find out whether he was adopted or not. He was simply uncertain of his spiritual identity. Unless he knew of his divinity, he believed he could not understand his soul purpose on this planet.
Indeed, this was not a typical question. It is a question that nearly everyone at one point in their life time would ask themselves. It is a valid question. It is not stupid or crazy to ask about it. In my view, it is a question that requires serious consideration and dedication.
I knew in my mind that even if I were to provide him a past-life reading, he would not be satisfied. I believe in reincarnation that every soul (living or non-living matter) on this planet must been reincarnated over 100 times. Therefore, reviewing 1 or even 2 past lives would not accurately answer his question. Past life reading would be an ineffective approach. As a result, I contemplated declining his request altogether. I understood his concerns but I was more worried about misguiding or misleading him in any shape or form. As I was about to email him to decline the request, I received his third email. A long email describing why he pursued the thought of finding out his true identity. What persuaded me to change my mind on this matter was when he wrote:
- "I feel my (spirit) guides are with me on this so I am doing
- this because really I should be pursuing other things at this
- time, this isn't an important thing to me except because
- I am being pushed, led by my guides so they feel perhaps,
- and I agree, that I am ready. I am ready to know the truth. I
- wasn't ready before. I am now no matter what may be said I can embrace
- that, ie. be responsible. I think they try to show me things but for
- some reason I do not have a clear channel to them which leads me to my
- spirit blocks."
After carefully reading his email 3 times, I was still in awe to learn that Mr. C.'s reason for coming to me was because of his spirit guides' influences. For a man who was never into psychics, religion or anything related to metaphysics, it was unusual of him to have tremendous faith and confidence in me. I felt particularly honored to know that his spirit guides highly recommended me to him. What was even more bizarre was the fact they knew of my skill in "removing spirit blocks". Although I privately practice Intuitive Energy work for 3 years, only my family members and my closest friend know the nature of my work. Mr.C. could not have known this information beforehand. I never publicize it on my brochures or website. This convinced me to believe that Mr. C. was not delusional. His spirit guides were indeed guiding him to meeting me!
Given the nature of how he came to employ my service, I felt I owe it to his spirit guides to help him and thus decided to offer him an hour of Energy healing session as an alternative. I clarified to Mr. C. that my role was not to tell him his true identity. Rather, I was here to assist him in clearing his spirit blocks and improve his communication with his spirit guides. He agreed.
